I was born in Kalmykia, Russia in 1987. I graduated from the Pirogov Medical University in Moscow in 2010 and subsequently worked as a bioscientist in Oncology.
Years of therapy sparked my interest in therapy. I completed the five-year training at the Moscow Institute of Gestalt and Psychodrama and qualified as a Gestalt therapist in 2017. Since 2016, I have been working with clients from various backgrounds and ages and supported them on a wide range of topics.
In 2019, I moved to London and set up my private practice here. When the war in Ukraine began, I publicly condemned the Russian invasion. The risk of being prosecuted prevents me from returning home. The same year, I became an accredited therapist at the UK Council of Psychotherapy and the Gestalt Therapy Training Institute. As a member of these organisations, I work under supervision and constantly continue my professional development.
Being of Kalmyk ethnic origin, I have a particular interest in collective trauma as my grandparents were survivors of Stalin’s enforced displacement to Siberia. I am aware of cultural, social and historical influences on a person's views and experience. I’m happily married and recently became a mother of a lovely boy. It’s deepened my interest in attachment theory and infant development.
